In 2019, Vstrong Intelligent Technology implemented a large-scale cold storage rotating rack system at the JD Logistics Asia No. 1 Fresh Food Warehouse in Wuhan city,China. This marked the first application of "goods-to-person" picking technology in an e-commerce cold storage environment in China. Operating within a -18°C freezer, the fully automated storage and picking system transports products to a dedicated 5°C picking zone, effectively separating personnel from the low-temperature environment and significantly improving working conditions for operators. By adopting the goods-to-person model, the system greatly reduces travel distances for pickers, boosting picking efficiency by more than three times.
